Meet the Author
Once again the Hayward/Castro Valley AAUW branch is pleased to co-sponsor a special author program at the Hayward Public Library, 835 C Street, Hayward, in the upstairs meeting room.
There will be a Skype discussion with Georgia-based Janisse Ray, author of the library’s featured Seed Read selection, The Seed Underground: A Growing Revolution to Save Food. This is an important and enlightening book about the environmental necessity of maintaining a healthy variety of plant seeds. The Hayward Library is promoting this program as a tie-in to launch their Seed Lending Library.
We have been asked to provide refreshments for the program. If you will bring cookies, fruit, or other goodies for the attendees, please contact Barbara Jones at 538-0516 or by email at bb_jones@pacbell.net.
On June 15th, Amy Franklin-Willis will discuss her debut novel “Lost Saints of Tennessee”. She is a woman from the Bay Area.
